Really?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>When I think about Brenda and me aboard our first boat, a 20&#8242; Cape Cod Catboat, way back in 1979, making weekend voyages measured in a few days and runs of a dozen miles at most, I can&#8217;t believe that I am writing this post from near Guadalupe of all places.<\/p>\n<p>I can tell you that I NEVER imagined I&#8217;d be here much less sailing around tropical waters together for months at a time each winter. \u00a0I am indeed a very lucky guy. \u00a0 And speaking of Brenda, here she is from yesterday at Fort Napoleon with Guadaloupe in the distance. \u00a0<img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-6935\" src=\"http:\/\/www.sailpandora.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/3-29-17a-053.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"700\" height=\"466\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.sailpandora.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/3-29-17a-053.jpg 700w, https:\/\/www.sailpandora.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/3-29-17a-053-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px\" \/>And, to do this with Brenda, the very same woman who has a photo of me from our senior prom wearing a light blue powder blue tux with dark blue piping, all the while sporting a particularly dashing Dutch-boy haircut. \u00a0 \u00a0I guess she wasn&#8217;t thinking &#8220;power blue tux&#8221; or sailing thousands of miles with me for that matter, when she said &#8220;yes&#8221; over forty years ago. \u00a0 WHAT WAS SHE THINKING? \u00a0Oops!<\/p>\n<p>I guess Ill leave it at that for now. \u00a0Don&#8217;t want to jinx it.<\/p>\n<p>Anyway, yesterday we rented a golf cart to tour the island with our new cruiser friends on Hi Flight. \u00a0\u00a0<img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-6942\" src=\"http:\/\/www.sailpandora.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/3-29-17a-081.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"700\" height=\"466\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.sailpandora.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/3-29-17a-081.jpg 700w, https:\/\/www.sailpandora.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/3-29-17a-081-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px\" \/>\u00a0Unlike the one we rented a few years ago in Rum Cay Bahamas with our friends Dick and Anne of Nati, this one even had brakes. \u00a0Good thing as the hills were very, very steep. \u00a0Steep hills make for spectacular views. \u00a0Is there possibly any more spectacular view anywhere?
