{"id":4032,"date":"2015-01-27T16:15:57","date_gmt":"2015-01-27T16:15:57","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.sailpandora.com\/?p=4032"},"modified":"2015-01-27T16:16:27","modified_gmt":"2015-01-27T16:16:27","slug":"pandoras-on-the-move-we-think","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.sailpandora.com\/?p=4032","title":{"rendered":"Pandora&#8217;s on the move, we think&#8230;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>It&#8217;s Tuesday morning and we&#8217;ve been in Vero Beach for a week now. \u00a0 We had hoped to spend a few more days here as it&#8217;s such a great spot. \u00a0However, the weather seems to suggest that either we head out early in the morning tomorrow or we will have to hang out until the middle of next week. \u00a0With that in mind, we&#8217;ll be heading down to anchor near the Ft Pierce inlet later this afternoon so we can jump out early on Wednesday to make the run down to the Ft Worth inlet, about 50 miles south. \u00a0I spoke to Chris Parker, the weather router, earlier today and he thinks we will get a good sail in if we leave as planned. \u00a0Let&#8217;s hope that he&#8217;s right. It will be nice to let Pandora stretch her legs for a bit. \u00a0Fingers crossed.<\/p>\n<p>Well, here&#8217;s a shot of Pandora on her mooring just off of the fuel dock today in Vero. \u00a0A very nice day, if a bit cool.<a href=\"http:\/\/www.sailpandora.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/1-27-15b-002.jpg\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-4034\" title=\"1-27-15b 002\" src=\"http:\/\/www.sailpandora.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/1-27-15b-002.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"700\" height=\"525\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.sailpandora.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/1-27-15b-002.jpg 700w, https:\/\/www.sailpandora.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/1-27-15b-002-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px\" \/><\/a><span style=\"color: #444444;\">The other day I ran into a post on a blog about guests on board a small sailboat. It seems to me that she captures the point pretty well although I am not personally too big on pets aboard. \u00a0I am definitely too anal for the whole hair thing. \u00a0Last night we had a very nice couple, Bob and Connie of SV\/Meredith aboard for a &#8220;sundowner&#8221; and during the conversation he mentioned the 6-4-2 rule. \u00a0Six for cocktails, four for dinner and two sleep over. \u00a0That about sums it up for me and Brenda. \u00a0Bob and Connie have been living aboard for years and have sailed extensively in the Med as well as the Caribbean, including Cuba. \u00a0 It was great to compare notes with them. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #444444;\">Anyway, speaking of guests on board and who sleeps over,\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/tinyhouseblog.com\/tiny-house\/guest\/\">this post<\/a><span style=\"color: #444444;\">\u00a0on a site Where the Coconuts Grow,\u00a0is pretty cute. \u00a0Check it out. we&#8217;ll be going where the coconuts grow next winter. \u00a0Yes, technically we are there now but not THERE, way south in the Caribbean. \u00a0For now, we are on our way, day by
