{"id":1554,"date":"2013-02-09T13:21:30","date_gmt":"2013-02-09T13:21:30","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.sailpandora.com\/?p=1554"},"modified":"2013-02-09T13:21:30","modified_gmt":"2013-02-09T13:21:30","slug":"its-all-about-chattin-n-chillin-here-in-george-town","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.sailpandora.com\/?p=1554","title":{"rendered":"It\u2019s all about chattin &#8216;n&#8217; chillin here in George Town."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>As promised, we headed to volleyball beach and Chat &#8216;N&#8217; Chill, the local beach bar, last evening for an \u201cadult beverage\u201d and were not\u00a0disappointed\u00a0by our first visit.<\/p>\n<p>It was quite a sight to see so many dinks pulled up on the beach with lots of folks having fun as the sun set over George Town harbor.<\/p>\n<p>There is something about beaches all over the world that have a post with signs saying how far it is to various cities.\u00a0 Volley ball beach was no exception and it even included a sign for New York.\u00a0 If you are interested, the sign said New York was 1,198 miles as the crow flies.\u00a0 No, make that as the sea gull flies.<a href=\"http:\/\/www.sailpandora.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/02\/2-9-13a-004.jpg\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1556\" title=\"OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA\" src=\"http:\/\/www.sailpandora.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/02\/2-9-13a-004-e1360415255275.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"665\" \/><\/a><span style=\"color: #444444;\">The bar itself, that\u2019s Chat &#8216;N&#8217; Chill, was a riot of t-shirts hung from the ceiling along with lots of other \u201cstuff\u201d including one that Brenda particularly liked.\u00a0 Works for me after over 30 years living in the Garden State with her.\u00a0\u00a0 As much as I liked living there, I am still a CT boy at heart.<a href=\"http:\/\/www.sailpandora.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/02\/2-9-13a-006.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1558\" title=\"OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA\" src=\"http:\/\/www.sailpandora.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/02\/2-9-13a-006-e1360415294332.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"374\" \/><\/a><\/span><span style=\"color: #444444;\">This beach has everything. \u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.sailpandora.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/02\/2-9-13a-005.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1557\" title=\"OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA\" src=\"http:\/\/www.sailpandora.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/02\/2-9-13a-005-e1360415335773.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"374\" \/><\/a><\/span>When we first began talking about making the run to the Bahamas, we asked a friend what folks do all day to keep themselves occupied.\u00a0 One of the answers was playing games.\u00a0\u00a0 Brenda really wrinkled her nose at that one and said \u201cno way, I don\u2019t like games\u201d.\u00a0\u00a0 Not so, it seems. \u00a0Dominoes\u00a0and Mexican Train, in particular, is one of her favorites.\u00a0\u00a0 These are some of our friends going at it on the beach.\u00a0 We joined in the next hand.\u00a0 What fun.\u00a0 I guess it\u2019s popular with the old folks. \u00a0What does that say about us?\u00a0 Hmm\u2026 <a style=\"color: #444444;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.sailpandora.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/02\/2-9-13a-010.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1560\" title=\"OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA\" src=\"http:\/\/www.sailpandora.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/02\/2-9-13a-010-e1360415428554.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"374\" \/><\/a><span style=\"color: #444444;\">Not a bad spot.\u00a0 Better than standing in the middle of a blizzard.\u00a0\u00a0 We still can\u2019t quite get used to this weather in the middle of February but we are working on it.\u00a0 So far, so good but perhaps another beer will help.<a href=\"http:\/\/www.sailpandora.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/02\/2-9-13a-009.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1559\" title=\"OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA\" src=\"http:\/\/www.sailpandora.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/02\/2-9-13a-009-e1360415491644.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"374\" \/><\/a><\/span><span style=\"color: #444444;\">For now I am going to have to remain\u00a0enrolled<\/span><span style=\"color: #444444;\">\u00a0in the local chapter of ARG, that\u2019s the (alcohol research group).\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>As promised, we headed to volleyball beach and Chat &#8216;N&#8217; Chill, the local beach bar, last evening for an \u201cadult beverage\u201d and were not\u00a0disappointed\u00a0by our first visit.
